Fiona is a mother of three adult children, including one with ASD and another with ADHD, and is married to a Veteran. Her family relocated to Queensland in 2005, where Fiona pursued a Bachelor of Counselling at university. In her practice, Fiona employs a client-centred, collaborative and professional treatment approach that is tailored to the unique goals and values of each individual.

With a deep passion for her work, Fiona fosters an empathetic, calm, and encouraging atmosphere. She draws on her natural gift of compassion to be kind and understanding, providing a safe space for individuals to be heard, seen, and supported in their journey towards personal growth. Fiona finds great joy in empowering others to find clarity, strength, and peace in their lives, while embracing their true selves.

Fiona’s Role

As Counselling Service Coordinator and Lead Counsellor, Fiona oversees the counselling program while guiding clients, working with individuals, couples, families, teens, and children.

In her leadership role, Fiona ensures that Thryve delivers compassionate, client-centred care, and she mentors staff in best-practice approaches. As Lead Counsellor, she embodies Thryve’s mission to support personal and relational growth, healing, and resilience.

Fiona uses a collaborative, professional, and trauma-informed treatment approach, tailoring counselling to each client’s unique goals and values. Grounded in empathy and calm, she offers a safe, non-judgemental environment where clients feel heard, seen, and supported on their journey toward authentic growth. Central to her ethos is the belief that every individual has infinite worth.
